Menteri Pertahanan Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, menghadiri sidang pertama Dewan Pertahanan Nasional (DPN) di Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, Jawa Barat, pada Jumat (7/2). Sidang tersebut dipimpin langsung oleh Presiden Prabowo Subianto.
Presiden Prabowo menjelaskan bahwa pembentukan DPN, meski telah diatur dalam undang-undang sejak tahun 2002, realisasi pembentukan DPN baru bisa terwujud pada 2024, atau 22 tahun setelahnya.
Sementara itu, Menhan Sjafrie, selaku Ketua Harian DPN, menyatakan bahwa struktur dan tugas DPN mencerminkan kompleksitas masalah nasional yang mempengaruhi kedaulatan negara, serta bertanggung jawab memberikan rekomendasi dan solusi strategis kepada Presiden.

Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin attended the first session of the National Defence Council (DPN) at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, on Friday (Feb 7). The session was chaired by President Prabowo Subianto.
President Prabowo explained that although the establishment of the DPN had been mandated by law since 2002, its realization only came to fruition in 2024, 22 years later.
Meanwhile, Minister Sjafrie, as the Executive Chairman of the DPN, stated that the structure and duties of the DPN reflect the complexity of national issues affecting state sovereignty and that it is responsible for providing strategic recommendations and solutions to the President.
